Located in New Haven County, Wallingford came into existence on October 10, 1667.
This town has emerged as an industrial hub with some of the industrial giants establishing their plants such as Britannia, R.Wallace & Company for Wallace Silver Smiths and many more. This contributed not only to the development of a wide variety of heavy industries such as metal manufacturing but also medical and health care services and research development.
With an area of 39.9 square miles and an approximate population of 45000, this town sits astraddle the river Quinnipiac to the northern part of New Haven County.
Birthplace of some of the renowned personalities such as Aaron Jerome the great grandfather of Sir Winston Churchill, singer Morton Downey to name a few.
Wallingford experiences a pleasant weather during summers while the coldest month is January. There is not much change in the difference in the day and night temperature.
