The Connecticut College Arboretum was established in 1931 and is a private coeducational and liberal arts institution. At present, it encompasses around 750 acres of preserved open space in New London and Waterford town in southeastern Connecticut. The Arboretum serves many functions for the College and the great New London community. The Arboretum offers trails which are great for casual strolling and hiking.
