The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center was founded in 1964 by George C White and was named in honor of the playwright, O’Neill, American prize winning playwright. This center is home to distinct programs like Music Theater Conference, O’Neill Playwrights Conference, National Theater Institute, Puppetry Conference, Monte Cristo Cottage, Critics Institute and the childhood home of the play writer. This is also a nonprofit theater company received a Special Tony Award in 1979.
