West Hartford is a town which is located in Hartford County in Connecticut, United States. This town was incorporated in 1854 and previously, it was a parish of Hartford. Primarily the town is an upmarket inner-ring suburb of Hartford. This town has also a downtown area which is called West Hartford Center. West Hartford was placed 76th as the best places to live as per Money magazine in 2008 rankings.

West Hartford is adjacent to and also west of Hartford, which is the state capital. Avon, Newington, Bloomfield and Farmington are neighbor cities of West Hartford.

As per 2005 Census, the population of this town was estimated to around 61,173 people, out of which 24,576 households and 15,925 were families residing in the town.
