The Westport Astronomical Society is a non-profit organization operating in Westport. The observatory dome houses a 12.5 inch Newtonian telescope that allows the visitors to watch the celestial bodies on moonless nights. The society takes out the handy 25inch Obsession telescope, the largest of its kind in CT State for the public. The society will be opened for visitors on every Wednesdays and Thursdays.
