Tourist Guide Bear

Situated in New Castle County in Delaware, USA, the town of Bear is spread over an area of 14.9 sq km. As it is located on the Atlantic Coastal Plain, the terrain is characterised by a flat, sandy and, in some areas, swampy ground.

The climate of the city is temperate and humid. The temperatures are regulated by the Atlantic Ocean. Summers are hot where the average temperature is around 24°C, while the average winter temperature is around 2°C.

Established as a small town, the city now has a population of around 18,000. It has become a popular location for construction of housing complexes and shopping centres.

As the area and climate are conducive to the growth of vegetation, a number of small farms can be found in the rural area.
