Situated in Sussex County in Delaware, USA, Bethany Beach covers a total area of 3 sq km. The beach is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Indian River Bay and the Assawoman Bay to the west, and the Indian River inlet to the north.

Bethany Beach is one of the state’s three coastal towns that make up Delaware’s ‘Quiet Resort’. Founded by the Disciples of Christ evangelists for their revival camp meetings, it has a population of just over 900; tourism is its primary industry.
