Frankford can be described as a town located in county of Sussex, Delaware, US. It’s a portion of Seaford, Delaware ‘Micropolitan Statistical Area’.
Situated on ‘US Route 113’, Frankford had been founded in the year 1808. Incorporation on its part took place in the year 1937. This town got replaced as ‘Frankford Village’ in the year 1848 upon having acquired a ‘post office’. Establishment of ‘Pennsylvania Railroad’ went on to bring an ‘opera house’, commercial establishments, and a hotel; thereby making Frankford one of the thriving cultural and commercial center. However, the present scenario is such that this town is just a shadow with regards to ‘golden era’; with a few thriving businesses.
As per US Census Bureau, area of Frankford on the whole comes out to be 1.8 sq. Km (all land).
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Frankford was recorded to be 714.
