Georgetown is located in Sussex County in Delaware, USA. The first European settlement in Delaware was in Georgetown itself, which makes it a place of historic significance. The city has a population of close to 5,000 residents.
It was founded as well as incorporated in the same year in 1791. It is also home to a world-renowned chicken processing company, the Perdue Farms, which is a major employer in the town.
This town is home to some of the best beaches in the world along with huge open spaces and lush greenery that has made it a popular tourist destination. Georgetown has also a wonderful climate that is enjoyed by all the visitors.
Summers are warm and bright, while winters are cool and pleasant. The maximum average annual temperature is approximately 19°C, while the minimum average annual temperature is around 7°C. Summers are the best time to visit Georgetown.
