Lewes: Attractions and more...
Lewes offers historic, nautical and recreational activities. The Bay and ocean beaches near the city Lewes provides swimming, fishing, boating and a host of other water sports activities. Apart from these, the beaches, nature trails, bird sanctuaries and the Seaside Nature Center are perfect places to watch, when on a visit in town.
Cape Henlopen State Park is a state park that resides in water and attracts people in large numbers. The visitors can see the historic landmarks and lighthouses on a historic narrated cruise provided by the Anglers Fishing Center. Milton is a town located near the city of Lewes.
The small town boasts of several community organizations, a memorial park, civic center, public library and major annual events and churches. Rehoboth Independent Film Festival, Kalmar Nyclel and Dogfish Head Brewery are some of the events held in the city of Lewes with each of these events offering something for everyone.
