Long neck is situated in Sussex County of Delaware of United States. This place is a part of Seaford, Delaware Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Geographically Long Neck is bordered by Rehoboth Bay and Indian River Bay. Early the place was occupied by white and Indian due to its strategic location  close to Atlantic Ocean and the bays nearby provided food for the settlers especially fish and shellfish. It was William Burton’s family that came to this place and with them came rest of the dwellers. During 1900s there were schools, churches with a post office.

Recently Long Neck is thriving to acquire a rapid economic development from tourism. This place is also popular for low cost of living.    As far as historical evidence is concerned about the early settlers’ archaeologists have found the evidence for that.

The climate of this place ids quiet moderate and can be visited at any time of the year.

The population of this place comes to 1,629 according to 2000 census.
