Tourist Guide Newark
Newark is the largest city in New Jersey, USA and the seat of Essex County. It is an important port city in the Newark Bay and is also the third oldest city in the country.
The Newark International Airport caters to more than 30 international airlines and shares quite a bit of New York’s air load. Efficient bus and train services are available all across the state and into New York, which has world famous attractions like Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The city is located 15 km west of lower Manhattan and is just a 15-minute ride by the PATH railway line.
Newark has more of a continental climate with summers being hot and humid and temperatures exceeding 30°C. Winter temperatures can range between –10°C and 1°C.
The city is very diverse in culture and background and has a population of around 275,000 people.
