Wilmington is located at the junction of River Christina and the Brandywine Creek; it is located in New Castle County in the state of Delaware, USA. This city, with a total land area of 44 sq km, is home to some 73,000 people.
Wilmington is situated at a distance of around 40 km from Philadelphia. Swedish, the Dutch and the Spanish were among the first European settlers who came to this region in the seventeenth century.
