Washington is a congested city and it is best to move around the city via public transportation such as bus or rail. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority runs the transit system within the city including Metro buses and Metro rail. The metro rail has eighty six stations and runs for around 106 miles. It is the 2nd busiest rapid transit system in the country.
