Spread over an area of 700 acres, the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is a popular tourist attraction in Washington, DC. This site is a part of the Anacostia Park. The primary attraction of the site is its display of aquatic plants. The Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is the only one of its kind in America that collects aquatic plants and helps in their multiplication by protecting them. Tourists can enjoy bird watching along the River Trail where visitors can spot birds like herons, red-wing blackbirds etc. The park becomes bright in the summers with a variety of butterflies making the park their home.
Sports events are quite common at the park. The park comprises ball fields, gardens, the Kenilworth Marsh and several recreational areas and facilities.
