National Capital Parks-East is a popular tourist spot in Washington, DC, USA.
National Capital Parks-East is spread across an area of 8,000 acres and has numerous attractions that would make any holiday a memorable one. It houses 13 parks, parkways and other historic, cultural and recreational sites.
The park comprises 16 sites from the National Park Service Sites, the important ones being the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, Anacostia Parks, Capitol Hill Parks and Harmony Hall. The Oxon Hill Farm is popular for its ranger activities. Tourists can enjoy hiking at the Greenbelt Park.
A visit to the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is a must. Here visitors can see the beauty of the butterflies and several varieties of aquatic plants. Those interested in history can plan a trip to the Sewall Belmont House and Museum.
