Rock Creek Park is a nature zone with parklands in Washington, United States.
Founded in 1890, Rock Creek Park was one of the first federal parks in the region and is currently under the management of the National Park Service. It is one of the largest forested urban parks in the United States and consists of a variety of historical and recreational features like its beautiful beaches and nature trails.
Visitors can choose from a wide range of recreational facilities like hiking, biking, tennis, golfing, cycling and skating. Nature enthusiasts will have an excellent time at the Rock Creek Nature Centre as well as the National Zoo.
Various cultural exhibits are held on the beautiful Beach Drive. Also, the Carter Barron Amphitheatre hosts theatrical performances and art shows are hosted by the Rock Creek Gallery.
