American Oil and Gas Historical Society came into existence in 1859 at Pennsylvania. It was the first oil well in the country but not a gusher. In 1901 history was made at spindletop. Texas sized gusher that changed the course of oil industry. The engineers and technological people were called from California to increase their production.
