Washington D.C., the capital of the U.S. and one of the centers of world politics. To see the political symbols of the capital one should start from the Lincoln memorial built to commemorate the assassination of one of the sounding fathers of American democracy. Then the congress is a must, if you book in advance you will be able to also see a session of the American parliament but the waiting list is long so if you are keen remember to start looking some time before. Next a visit goes the Washington monument also known as the american obelisk, you can walk towards it from the center of town, next to a pond and admire how the monument get’s larger and larger.
