Having a mixed capitalist economy, USA is one of the largest and technologically powerful economies in the world. USA is well endowed with natural resources and has well-developed infrastructure and high productivity.
Being a vast country, in size and in culture, the cost of travelling or living is very region specific. For example, New York is one of the most expensive regions in the US. The south of US, on the other hand, is probably the cheapest place in America.
