American Beach is situated on Amelia Beach and is towards the north of Jacksonville. This was founded in 1935 by Abraham Lincoln Lewis, and was created as a holiday haven for the African-Americans, who couldn’t access other resorts which were denied. In the 1930s to 1950s, this beach was the place to be for full entertainment and fun. At present, the beach is most visited beaches in America.
