Amelia Island is a chain of barrier islands; it is one of the southernmost of the Sea Islands. It is located just off the northeastern coast of Florida. The island is 13 miles (almost 21 km) long and about 4 miles in width. 

The island is also known as “Isle of Eight Flags”, it has been ruled by 8 different countries. Amelia city and Fernandina beach are located on this island.

The island major events, for which hundreds of tourists crowd every year, The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival, the Southern Lardo Festival. The island provides its visitor a rich experience of breath taking natural beauty, with 13-mlies of beautiful beaches, a colorful history and abundant native wildlife.

With mild winter temperatures, cool summer nights and clear blue sky, Amelia Island is a luxurious escape throughout all the seasons.
