Anna Maria Island can be described as one of the barrier islands along coast of ‘Manatee County, Florida, US’.

Anna Maria Island has been bordered by Gulf of Mexico on the western side, Longboat Pass on the southern side, Sarasota Bay on the eastern side, and Tampa Bay on the northern side.

In the year 1892, George Emerson Bean went on to homestead island’s 160 acres; thereby having become the 1st permanent resident of it.
