Dutton Island Park and Preserve is situated east of the Intracoastal Waterway in Atlantic Beach. It was formerly called as Pine Island and was renamed after a former owner, Walter Dutton. The city purchased the island from his estate in 1998. At present, the park is the largest park in the city with 9,000 square feet of nature trails.
