The East Coast Railway was developed by Henry Morrison Flagler, an American tycoon, railroad developer, real estate promoter and partner of John D Rockefeller in Standard Oil. It is a Class II railroad operating in Florida. Also it is a prime railroad for all. Previously, it has been a Class I railroad. Presently, this railway is owned by RailAmerica. It is renowned for building the first railroad bridges to Key West, which has been rebuilt into road bridges for vehicles and is presently called as the Overseas Highway.
