Bal Harbour is located on the northern end of the Barrier Island and is a small village in Florida. A passage between the north end of Biscayne Bay and Atlantic Ocean passes through northern end of Bal Harbour. There is a bridge that connects Bal Harbour to Haulover Park. Its original name was Bay Harbour, later changed to Bal Harbour. The 2000 census revealed the population of Bal Harbour to be 3,305. The racial makeup comprises of 94.46%25 Whites, 1.63%25 African American and the rest a mixture of a few minorities.Bal Harbour shops are ranked as the best shopping centers in the United States. Visitors will like to dine at the various collections of cafes and tasty restaurants here. It has a tropical climate and is surrounded by exotic, beautiful palm trees, gardens and fountains. It provides a perfectly landscaped beach with a beachfront and a most suitable jogging path for the visitors. The downtown area has a lot of shops dealing with jewelry and house wares. It has a tropical weather with average temperatures ranging between 60-90 degrees F.
