Red Reef Park
This 39- acre park has only one mile of dry land, that also includes the 15 acre Gumbo Limbo Nature Centre placed on the Intracoastal Side. It is known as is from, one of the few beaches which are open after dark. The most elegant feature is the man made reef, which is about 10 feet off the shore. It offers sunbathing, swimming, strolling along the broad walk and surf casting.
Boca Raton Museum of Art
It is known as one the finest cultural attractions of South Florida. The museum exhibits art of national and international importance. It also conducts a large number of lectures, gallery tours, educational programs, and studio art classes. Its permanent collection includes works By Degas, Picasso, Modigliani, and Matisse. It also has modern and contemporary works by artists like Louise Nevelson, an important collection of Pre-Columbian and African art.
Gumbo limbo nature centre
This place is in the Red Reef Park, in the city of Boca Raton, placed on the Barrier Island , at the intersection of Intracoastal Waterway and the Ocean of Atlantic. It has a marine preserve of the costal fish and you can have a walk through the garden of butterflies.
The whole area of the centre has been reserved for the nature centre , which has attained a name tropical hammock.
Gumbo Limbo is to be found in Boca Raton at Red Reef Park on the barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is a coastal marine preserve.
The visitors can have a stroll through the butterfly garden, climb through the observation tower located on the winding boardwalk, after which you can rest in a Chiki hut.
Twenty acres of Boca Raton's Red Reef park have been reserved specifically for a nature center and the preservation of a natural plant association known as a tropical hammock.
