This is a 2.5 acre beachfront park which has a swimming area and a boardwalk. There are eight picnic shelters here and the coastal vegetation and sand dunes surround a gazebo. The Bonita Beach area can be accessed via the barrier island, also named as Hickory Island, which lies between the Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The Barefoot Beach Preserve Park which is accessible via the Bonita Beach Road is 342 acres of natural land which one can visit here as well.
