Tourist Guide Boynton Beach
Boynton Beach city is situated in Palm Beach County in Florida. This city sits on the Atlantic coastline and is almost 15 miles to the south of West Palm Beach. The city is named after the American Civil War major, Nathan S Boynton, who first settled here in 1894 and began the construction of the popular Boynton Beach Hotel. The town of Boynton was incorporated in 1920 and was changed to Boynton Beach.
The population as per the 2000 census was 60,389. As per the 2006 census, the population reached 66,714.
As per the United States Census Bureau, the city had a total area of 16.25 square miles, out of which, 15.88 square miles is land and 0.37 square miles is water.
As far as climate is concerned, the summer season is hot with 80 degrees and the winter season is cold with 60 degrees. July is known as the warmest month with 90.10 degrees and January is the coldest month with 57.30 degrees Fahrenheit. Further, the annual average precipitation is 61.39 inches.
