Manatee Village Historical Park
Manatee Village Historical Park is inclusive of 1887 church, 1903 general store, 1860 courthouse, 1912 settler house, and 1908 1-room school house. Kids would literally have a blast with ‘Bat’s boat barn’. They can also draw lizards on chalkboard. The best part of this place is that visitors are allowed to have discovered things on their own as it is minimally staffed as well as free.
This park remains open from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 and 16:30, and on Sunday between 13:30 and 16:30 from 1st of September to 30th of June. It remains open from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 16:30 from 1st of July to 31st of August.
De Soto National Memorial
This memorial goes on to commemorate Hernando de Soto, a Spanish explorer. The park goes on to describe De Soto voyage, clashes with values of natives, and Spanish values. Various historical demonstrations would be seen over here.
