Kennedy Space centre
One of the busiest tourist centers, in Cape Canaveral, it is an official Federal site. It offers a variety of things to its visitors like: movies, a rocket garden, museums, a guided bus tour to vital shuttle preparation and launch facilities. The visitors get a chance to visit , the generally restricted areas of the centre. The tourists also get to pay a visit, where the International Space station modules are tested.
Cape Canaveral Lighthouse
This 60- foot (18m) tall structure was built in 1848; it isn’t the first lighthouse in the city. It consists of 15 lamps, each of which has 21-inch (530mm) reflectors. The lighthouse was originally designed in parts of cast iron, which were bolted together , and then entire thing was lined with bricks to give support. In its former years, whale oil was used for lighting the beacon. The first two floors were used as living quarters, and the most remarkable feature, is that the spiral staircase is through the centre of the interior, and not around the outside walls. At present, the house is restored, with two one thousand watt search light beacons.
Jetty Park
It is an amazing place as a weekend getaway or just spend a day. The time can be spent fishing on a part of the jetty or even on the beach. The park is to be found on the south east corner of Port Canaveral. The park is widen over 35 acres, which also includes a family beach of 4.5 acre, which has areas designated for swimming and another for surfing. The fishing pier which is 1,200 foot is open 24 hours.
