The Cedar Key Museum State Park has exhibits which depict the colorful history of the city during the 19th century. Some of the collection has sea shells and also Indian artifacts which were collected by St. Clair Whitman, the founder of the first ever museum in Cedar Key city. There is also a short nature trail at the museum which gives the visitors the opportunity to see the birds and the animals along with native vegetation.
