The town of Clermont occupies 11 breathtaking lakes called as the Clermont Chain. The total area of these lakes is 8,692 acres which contain a cover of Kissimmee grass, lily pads, eel grass, reeds and bulrushes, and breeds some of the biggest largemouth bass in Florida. Other fish available in the Clermont Chain include speckled perch (crappie), redear sunfish (shellcracker), blue gills.
