Venetian Pool is one of the historical places in Coral Gables. It was founded by George Merrick and opened in 1923. The pool is 820000 gallon big. It features two big waterfalls, some coral caves and grottos. The pool buildings are built in Venetian style of architecture.
The pool was earlier a rock pit which was replaced by a world class beautiful swimming pool. The pool features expansive loggias, porticos and it has an amazing palm fringed island and a cobble-stone bridge. The pool got a historic reorganization in 1989.
