Sometimes the thought of getting around on your beach vacation can be a nightmare, especially when you are left car-less after a flight. For travelers to Daytona Beach, Florida in the US, there are ample means of transportation to get you from the beach to shopping and dining and beyond.
Because the city area of Daytona Beach isn’t the most walking-friendly destination, (there aren’t adequate sidewalks and many distances are too far to walk), the best options is to resort to another mode of transportation. Like most cities, renting a car is the easiest and quickest way to get yourself around the area. There are other services as well, such as taxis, buses, trolleys and even limousines for a special night out. Daytona’s trolley service offers rides on quaint antique-looking trolleys for a reasonable ride price of $1.25 for adults and $0.60 for kids. The bus service is offered at the same price and provides a reliable way to travel the city without having to navigate the foreign area by yourself.
And finally, for a fun way to get around and even incorporate some earth-friendly exercise into your vacation, consider renting bikes for the trek from your hotel to the beach.
