Tourist Guide Doral

Doral is a city which is located in the north-central area of Miami-Dade County that is on the west of Miami International airport. Doral is situated in a suburb of Miami in Florida. The city got its name from a famous golf and spa resort located within its municipal boundaries. Doris and Alfred Kaskel built the resort and spa and the name Doral was coined by combining their names. In 2003 Doral city was incorporated along with Miami Gardens. According to 2000 census the population was 20, 438 and as per the 2007 census the city estimated the population to be around 37735. Doral has a number of shops, financial institutions and businesses, especially importers and exporters, primarily because it is located nearby to the Miami International Airport. In 2008, Doral ranked 51 out of 100 cities for its Fortune Small Business and CNN Money for its best mix of business advantages and lifestyle appeal, its current Mayor is a Cuban-American, Juan Carlos.
