Everglades City can be described as a city located in county of Collier, Florida, US. It’s, in fact, portion of Naples-Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area.
As per US census Bureau, area of Everglades City, on the whole, comes out to be 3.1 sq. Km; out of which 21.01%25 consists of water.
The region around Chokoloskee Bay, inclusive of Everglades City, had been occupied for loads of years by various Native Americans who belonged to Glades Culture. They were also shortly absorbed by Calusa prior to arrival on the part of Europeans. However, by then, Florida had been transferred to US (from Spain). As such, the region remained uninhabited.
Everglades City receives rainfall of around 54 inches every year. Snowfall does not take place. July proves to be the hottest month; with temperature of around 91 degree F; whereas January to be the coolest; with temperature of around 54 degree F.
Population as per 2000 census was calculated to be 479.
