Broward Caribbean Carnival is a cultural event that recently originated in Broward County in 2003 and includes costumed street parade and carnival extravaganza. It features several bands of masqueraders, each band consisting over 100 masqueraders wearing exotic and extravagant costumes. Parade includes steel bands, large individual costumes, the Kings and Queens of each band, and a variety of Caribbean music.
