Though it's frequently crowded by Spring Breakers at that time of year, Fort Lauderdale does offer some upscale going-out alternatives.
The Blue Martini Lounge features a selection of 42 custom martinis — not all of them blue — and puts on special events, such as July's Little Black Dress Party. Van Gogh Blue, Bacardi and Three Olives bottle service generally goes for $100, and drinks are half-price from 2-8 p.m. every day.
If blue's not your color, the newly remodeled Green Room — found deep in the recesses of America's Backyard — is the classy wing of Revolution Live, complete with dress code, bottle service and couches whiter than the patrons' bleached teeth.
If you're more of a traditionalist, Christopher's Nightclub offers the same great combination of atmosphere and service it has for the past 25 years — several lifetimes on the club scene.
