The famed International Swimming Hall of Fame is an important site in Fort Lauderdale. It focuses on the achievements of remarkable swimmers and also features aquatic artifacts that date back to the fifteenth century. Computerized exhibits are popular as they make a visitor feel as an Olympic swimmer, diver, or even a judge. The site is home to fifty-meter pools, two ten-lane, as well as an exhibition building displaying medals, photos, and other souvenirs. There is a theater that shows films of swimming stars like Esther Williams and Johnny Weissmuller.
