North Fort Myers is a census designated place which is situated in Lee County in Florida. The population of this neighborhood was 40,214 as per the 2000 census. Moreover, it is a part of the Cape Coral-Foral Myers Metropolitan Statistical Area. As per the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has total area of 54.6 square miles, out of which 52.6 square miles is land and other 2.0 square miles is covered with water. The density of 40,214 people as per 200 census had a density of 764.2 people per square mile. Further, there were almost 19,654 households, of which 12.8 percent had children under the age of 18 living with them. Also, there were total 25,284 housing units which an average density of 480.5 per square miles.
