Downtown Fort Pierce runs the length of the inter-costal waterway on the Indian River Lagoon. It was restored in the 1990’s in an effort to upgrade the Sunrise Theater and the other shops and restaurants. Besides, downtown Fort Pierce hosts many events for its residents and visitors every week including bike night, farmer’s market, and jazz jams among others.
