Gainesville Raceway is a quarter mile dragtrip which is situated in Gainesville in Florida. It opened in 1969 and is popular for hosting the NHRA ’s prestigious Gatornationals event since 1970. This raceway has a separate 1.6 mile road course which is designed for the vehicle testing and driving schools. Its first drag racer was Kenny Bernstein who broke the 300 mile per hour barrier at the track in 1992.
