The Florida State Museum is a natural history museum which displays a variety of flora and fauna, fossils and the natural history of Florida in its various buildings.
The buildings on campus include The Powell Hall, Randall Research Centre, Dickenson Hall and the Mc Guire Centre for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity. San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park has a wide variety of wildlife such as turkeys, white tailed deer, foxes, bobcats and species of songbirds.
The other recreational activities that one can indulge in at the park include biking, nature viewing, horse riding and hiking.
Kanapaha Botanical Gardens contain the largest bamboo gardens as well as a butterfly garden, Camellia garden, Rose garden, Rock garden, Cycad garden, Crinum garden and more.
