The name of the city means 'pretty prairie' and it is said to be the most liveable suburb of the nation in a survey conducted by Forbes magazine. The city has a diverse population with a high working class section.
It is a safe place to live with its suburban neighbourhoods, industrial and commercial sectors.
The city had a high population of Cubans, but now, it has people from the Caribbean, south and north America and other parts of the world. Being inside the county of Florida, the city experiences a sunny subtropical climate where summers are hot and winters are warm.
