Blowing Rocks Preserve is a beautiful barrier island sanctuary which is situated on Jupiter Island, in between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. The Blowing Rocks actually protects many varieties of natural habitats. This includes coastal strand, beach dune, tropical hammock, mangrove wetlands and oak hammock. This is 73 acres of preserve, with rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline. This shoreline is known to be the largest on the Atlantic Coast. The preserve is situated at the south tip of the Indian River Lagoon. The conservancy protects the most diverse estuary in North America.
