Homestead is a city located at the southern most tip of Florida. It is the second oldest city in Miami-Dade County, next to Miami city. The city’s population was around 53,767 according to 2006 census. It serves as an entry point to many popular Florida attractions. With plenty of activities like underwater park and alligator farm Homestead combines the small town charm together with big city advantages. Homestead is the only place in the country where one can enjoy sandy beaches and tranquil lagoons, can see rare wild lives, all kinds of water birds and alligators. That is why Homestead remains a popular destination for tourists. Year by year Homestead’s economy is growing, bringing more and more business. It shows a remarkable development in the culture and arts scene also. Its main street downtown is filled with activities and shops and all year long with special events. It has a tropical climate with days filled with warm breezes and sunshine. Temperatures range between 88 and 92 F with a humid and hot summer. Winters are mild. Most of the rain occurs during the summer season.
