Homestead is a city located at the southern most tip of Florida. It is the second oldest city in Miami-Dade County, next to Miami city. The city’s population was around 53,767 according to 2006 census. It serves as an entry point to many popular Florida attractions. It shows a remarkable development in the culture and arts scene also. Its main street downtown is filled with activities and shops and all year long with special events. It has a tropical climate with days filled with warm breezes and sunshine. Temperatures range between 88 and 92 F with a humid and hot summer. Winters are mild. Most of the rain occurs during the summer season.
