Homosassa Springs is a census designated place which is situated in Citrus County in Florida. This name is derived from the warm spring which is situated in the Wildlife State Park attracting manatees to the area.

As per the 2000 census, the population of this census designated area was 12,458 people. Out of this population, the density was 482.1 people per square mile. However, 2009 estimates show 140,169 people. And since 2000, it has had a population growth of 16.99 percent.

As per the United States Census Bureau, Homosassa Springs has a total area of 25.8 square miles, which is almost 66.9 square kilometers, and all of this is land.
