Fort Cooper State Park is a historic site in Inverness. This park is situated two miles to the south of Inverness. In 1972, it was added as national historic places in the world. This park is also a Florida State Park. Some of the wildlife of the park is turkey, white tailored deer, bobcat, owls and cardinals. This park also has a re-enactment of the Second Seminole War.
