Islamorada is popularly known as the Sport Fishing Capital of the World. The ocean near Islamorada is packed with a variety of shallow coral reefs, mini walls and shipwrecks. It also offers an underwater habitat for scientific research called as the Aquarius. The fish that can be seen here include French grunt and goatfish, regal queen angelfish, green moray eels and nurse sharks among others.
